Study participants were required to follow a 12-month weight loss program. A total of 125 adults (mean age 50 years, 91% females) who were overweight or obese without any medical condition requiring medical supervision were included in the study.

It turned out that those who slept well were better at sticking to their calorie intake goals and spending more time on moderate-intensity exercise.
