Qualcomm and Thales announced that they have certified the world’s first commercial integrated SIM card (iSIM) on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The new iSIM is fully compliant with the GSMA Remote SIM Provisioning standard, allowing it to be managed remotely via any standard platform.

Analysts believe that by 2027, the market share of electronic SIM cards will increase to 19%.
