Dom.RF, Rosbank and Expobank plan to launch their payment stickers at the end of August 2023 – special stickers that can be attached to a smartphone or case and make purchases in stores with one touch.
Rosbank will acquire such a tool in May, Dom.RF intends to distribute the technology in the second quarter of 2023, Expobank in June-July, Izvestia has learned.
The stickers are also being tested at VTB, Post Bank, Absolut and Home Credit, but they did not announce the specific timing of their launch for customers.
According to NSPK, 16 Russian banks are already launching or testing payment services. Sber has already distributed 100,000 stickers to the Russians, Tinkoff — 200,000.
A sticker with the Mir payment system is several times smaller than a card. You can pay with it wherever the terminal is installed. With the tag, you can also withdraw cash from an ATM that supports a contactless authorization method.
