For the first time in its history, Bing has surpassed 100 million active daily users.. This achievement comes just a month after the service’s integration with ChatGPT, the chatbot that has become the internet’s favorite toy. For Microsoft, this result is a demonstration that “search needs to be reinvented, and the unique value proposition of combining search + responses + chat + creation in one interface.”

Despite its success, Microsoft describes the number as “a small business with a single-digit share.” However, served to position Bing as the perfect alternative to Google’s hegemony.. So it’s clear that the proof of Redmond’s intent to integrate ChatGPT with Bing works better than we thought. In return, the company is seeing a “growth in engagement” as users increasingly turn to Bing to perform their daily searches.

Nevertheless, Bing’s growth isn’t just driven by ChatGPT, says Microsoft. The introduction of the Prometheus model, which greatly improves search quality, has also played a major role in this recent achievement. Thus, we may see an increase in the number of users if the company continues to play its cards correctly.

The official Microsoft blog also describes how Since its launch, Bing Chat has hosted over 45 million chat sessions.. In addition, a third of registered preview users use this tool daily to answer their questions. This indicates a clear impact of artificial intelligence on the success of the company.

Daily Active Users Bing Mobile also showed growth. According to Microsoft, the number of people using the app to answer their questions from their mobile devices has increased sixfold.

Microsoft Edge also grows with Bing

Besides Bing, Microsoft is also reporting an increase in usage of its Edge browser.. The company hopes that the upcoming integration with Bing search and the Edge search bar will eventually increase the number of people who use it as their preferred browsing method.

While the growth was driven by the advent of ChatGPT in Bing, Microsoft explains that Edge has shown remarkable growth over the past seven quarters..

As more people use the new Bing and Edge, we’re seeing new features being tested and rolled out that demonstrate the value of integrated search and chat.

It seems that Bing has already done what it takes to compete with Google. After years of betting on its browser, Microsoft was finally able to see positive results from users. Meanwhile, those from Mountain View have already introduced Bard, their own artificial intelligence, which will come to integrate with the search engine. However, it seems that after an eventful presentation, Google continues to work on improving the technology.
