A spice jar rack can be dangerous to your health. The fact is that, as a recent study showed, a large number of microbes can accumulate on it, which is why diseases develop.

An article published on the results of a study in the Journal of Food Protection points out that spice jars can cause the spread of diseases. This is because they encourage cross-contamination, that is, the transfer of microbes from one place or substance to another.

What’s more, scientists found that spice jars were contaminated in almost 50% of cases. But elsewhere in the kitchen, contamination was found in less than 20% of cases.

It turns out that any spice jar you touch while cooking raw meat can be cross-contaminated. You need to remember this even after cooking.

The dirtiest items in the kitchen are spice jars. In addition to these, the handles of the refrigerator, cutting boards, the lids of the garbage cans are also dangerous in terms of pollution.
