The FSB has completed the investigation of a criminal case of high treason against the founder of Group-IB, Ilya Sachkov. The businessman was arrested at the end of September 2021, since then he has been in jail.
The investigation of the criminal case against the founder of Group-IB Ilya Sachkov, who was arrested on charges of high treason, has been concluded. This was reported by a source from the RIA Novosti agency in law enforcement agencies. The interlocutor of the agency did not provide other details about the progress of the investigation.
Ilya Sachkov was arrested on September 29, 2021. The businessman was accused of high treason, the sanctions of this article provide for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 20 years.
The investigation believes that Sachkov transferred information containing state secrets abroad. Most of the materials on high treason cases are classified and not published.
