In a new study, scientists have discovered that many teens turn to technology to distract themselves from bad thoughts. It also helps them fall asleep faster.

The results of the study were published in the journal Sleep Advances. 631 young people participated.

Experts have also learned that those who have trouble sleeping often sit through various practices in the evening. The most popular distractions were watching YouTube videos or using music apps, socializing with peers on Instagram* or Snapchat.
