According to the developers, a “live” neural network, even if it supports a dialogue, will inspire more confidence, especially in older people, than a faceless robot.

D-ID technology implemented as a web application supports instant text creation and streaming, just like the ChatGPT bot, but with the addition of a human face and voice.

Currently, only one avatar has been developed – Alice, but in the future, the developers have promised more avatars.

Chat.D-ID is currently free and will remain so for the foreseeable future. However, if successful, its content will become very expensive, which will inevitably result in user charges.

“We tend to communicate with faces, we understand the situation better, and we perceive complex information when we are in conditions similar to the real scenario,” said Gil Perry, head of D-ID.
