Auchan will open a pilot store with 90% own-brand products

A pilot store of the Auchan network with private label (PL) products will open on March 16 in Moscow, the Auchan press service said.

The assortment of the store will consist of 90% private label products, such as Every Day, Red Bird, Golden Bird. In total, the store will have up to 900 types of products.

The share of non-food products in the pilot store “Ashana” will be only 4%. Its assortment will cover the basic needs of network customers, the press service noted.

Auchan reported that the number of its own brand products has more than 5 thousand items, and every fourth product in the chain’s buyers’ control is a private label product.
