The fire truck came to the call regarding a traffic accident. While the firefighters were removing the injured from the malfunctioning vehicles, the truck closed the passage for the safety of the rescuers.

A Tesla electric car crashed into a fire truck at full speed. Police teams who arrived at the scene noted that the driver died and the passenger was seriously injured, and was taken to the hospital. All four firefighters were sent there with minor injuries.

At the same time, the patrol report does not contain any definitive conclusions about the causes of the accident. Experts tend to believe that the driver may be in a state of drug or alcohol intoxication and is driving with the automatic driving system – autopilot – turned on.

In the case file, we’re talking about a lot of circumstantial evidence in favor of this version. And if so, the case will be part of a federal investigation launched by authorities to establish the potential danger of autopilots in terms of reacting to and bypassing static obstacles in the road.
