Former Bershka stores in Russia may start operating under the Ecru name, said Olga Antonova, CMWP’s director of retail real estate.

Bershka stores can open in Russia under the Ecru brand

The brands Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Pull&Bear belong to the Spanish company Inditex. Last year, Inditex sold its Russian assets to the Lebanese group Daher. The fact that the brands of the Spanish company will return to Russia under other names was reported in the fall.

“…everything is going according to plan. Stores previously owned by Inditex, including Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Pull&Bear, are being opened by the same partner after renovation and redesign,” Antonova told TASS.

A new name for one of the brands has already been decided. Bershka stores could open under the Ecru brand, Antonova added. The Union of Shopping Centers confirmed that they will soon open renovated stores in the shopping centers.

It was previously reported that Daher plans to produce part of the clothing at the facilities of Russian companies, which the Spanish holding company used until 2022.

After the entry of Russian troops into Ukrainian territory, Inditex closed more than 500 stores in the Russian Federation, and also stopped online sales.
