The scientists’ experiment involved 50 people between the ages of 20 and 25. They completed surveys and provided weekly reports on their social media use. A group of participants were asked to reduce their time on social media by at least 15 minutes.

After three months, there appeared to be a 15% improvement in immune function. It should be understood from independent reports that such a conclusion was reached. Participants experienced fewer colds, flu, fewer warts, a 50% improvement in sleep quality, and a 30% reduction in depressive symptoms.

It was also found that participants reduced their social media use by 40 minutes, despite the recommendations.
