Russian Post launched a robotic point for receiving and delivering items in St. Petersburg – a warehouse. The message from the postal operator says that this is the first such device in Russia, where all the work is done by a machine.
The device delivers a package in one minute.
The warehouse is fully automated, the presence of employees is only necessary for the pre-loading of packages through the gateway. After that, the device independently distributes the packages on the shelves, depending on the dimensions.
Correos ensures that the device does not make mistakes, since, thanks to intelligent algorithms and artificial vision, it knows exactly where each package is.
Once the package has entered the warehouse, the customer receives a notification with a code. To pick up the cargo, you need to enter the received combination on the device screen or scan the barcode from the Mail mobile application. Then the robot will search and issue the shipment through the customer’s gateway.
The warehouse is located in St. Petersburg at the address: st. Oleko Dundicha, 36A, bldg. 1. With the help of a robotic point, you can receive packages that do not require payment of customs duties, which are not sent by cash on delivery, and also if their dimensions do not exceed 560x315x375 mm.
