In 2023, Plus Dacha by Yandex will take place in two locations in Gorky Park at once: traditionally in a summer cinema located in the central part of the park, as well as in the building of the former Nike Box sports center. This was reported to RB.RU by a company representative.
Nike Box previously housed free workouts: training, running, yoga, soccer, longboarding, jumping, and others. The cultural and sports center was created in order to “make sport accessible” as well as to present innovations to athletes. In the context of the Russian special operation, the manufacturer of sportswear and footwear Nike decided to leave Russia, the Nike Box space was closed.
The Yandex dacha program, consisting of film screenings, concerts, lectures, master classes and other events, will be supplemented by sports training. In addition, the space will become year-round, during the cold season the events will take place indoors.
In 2022, Plus Dacha hosted more than 250 events: more than 70 film screenings, concerts of popular musicians, a yoga festival with Organic People, theater performances, master classes, lectures and writers’ meetings.
Yandex first launched a space for recreation and entertainment for the summer of 2021.
