It is important to understand that T cells play a critical role in fighting infections and cancers.

During the experiment on mice, the scientists fed the experimental sucralose in an amount equivalent to the acceptable daily dose for humans. The results showed that mice with a diet high in sucralose had weaker T-cell activation to fight cancer or infection.

The researchers also found that large amounts of sucralose affect the release of intracellular calcium, which is responsible for suppressing T cell activation.

Note that this substance is commonly used as an artificial sweetener in drinks and foods. At the same time, science has not yet fully studied its effect on the human body.
