The Project Office for the Development of Tourism and Hospitality in Moscow is launching an online competition “Creative Laboratory” for professionals who are ready to offer fresh ideas for promoting the capital’s tourism. The authors of the best creative concepts will receive a cash prize of 150,000 rubles and the opportunity to add a unique case to their portfolio. You can request participation until April 14.

A contest of non-standard ideas for promoting Moscow tourism has begun – the winners will share 750 thousand rubles

Who can participate

To participate in the “Creative Laboratory” you can:

  • creators;

  • vendors;

  • specialists in public relations and SMM;

  • producers and other experts in the creative industries.

You can join the competition both individually and as part of a team, for example, an entire creative agency. An important condition is that natural and legal persons participating in the contest must be registered in the Russian Federation.

What is to be done

The organizer of the competition has prepared five tasks, you need to submit a solution to one of them to choose from:

  1. Develop a comprehensive concept to promote Moscow as an attractive tourist destination at an affordable price. The objective is to increase the tourist flow and encourage repeat trips.

  2. Develop a concept to promote the North-Eastern District of Moscow (VDNKh, the Moscow Sun, the Monument to the Collective Woman and Farmer, the Ostankino TV Tower, the Botanical Garden and other attractions are located here). The goal is to increase the flow of regional tourists and accelerate the development of inter-district tourism within the city.

  3. Develop a concept to promote the Trinity and Novomoskovsky districts of Moscow, where many old estates, temples and cultural centers are located. The goal is the same as the second.

  4. Develop the design of the external and internal layout of mobile tourist information centers and enrich their existing functionality and semantic content.

  5. Develop a creative promotion concept (including video scripts) for the City of Discovery project. This is a journey in which schoolchildren get acquainted with Moscow’s innovative sectors and industries, learn to discover new resources in themselves and find them in the city space.

More details about each task can be found on the website. Also on April 14, a webinar will be held, in which all the tasks and what is required of the participants will be discussed in detail (information about the start of registration for the webinar will appear later on the contest website ).

Representatives of the Moscow Project Office for the Development of Tourism and Hospitality, who will evaluate the decisions of the participants, hope that the concepts proposed by them will contain:

  • a brief description of the idea;

  • an explanation of the uniqueness of the solution and the proposed tools;

  • enumeration of expected results;

  • the resources that will be needed to implement the project;

  • a brief estimate of the project;

  • a presentation detailing the proposed idea.

why you should participate

The winners of each track will receive 150 thousand rubles and a unique wallet case. In addition, the contestants will become part of a large community of creative professionals interested in the development of the tourism industry in the capital. Community members in a special chat will exchange news, discuss industry trends and ideas. They can also participate in the development and implementation of Moturismo projects.

The first community meeting will take place in a webinar format, where participants will meet and discuss the goals of the competition.

You can apply for the Creative Lab contest until April 14. From April 14 to 21, participants will be immersed in active work on concept design and presentation preparation (however, now you can brainstorm ideas). Winners will be announced no later than April 28.
