This was reported by sources at six Russian airlines. The lack of these parts is due to sanctions due to the fact that the American manufacturer stopped supplying spark plugs to Russia. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, there are 12 aircraft operators operating about 160 SSJ100s in Russia. These aircraft take part in both regional and international flights.

Spark plug shortages were also confirmed at companies IrAero and Azimut. Pavel Udod, chairman of Azimut’s board, described the candle shortage as “serious”.

It has been reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is aware of the problem.
