Apparently this decision was made because in 2022 Firefox was considered the second most vulnerable browser with a total of 117 vulnerabilities.
Firefox Relay allows you to create up to 5 camouflage phone numbers or email addresses for free to make it harder to spam if the data is compromised when registering or creating a profile on sites that require personal data from the user.
