Microsoft announced Tuesday that new Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled Bing users can now create images with Bing Chat. HE The feature is powered by OpenAI’s Dall-E generative viewer system.
in your name Bing Image Creator, the feature will initially only be available in the search engine’s Creative Mode and will be gradually rolled out to users. The viewer will also be available in Balanced modes and the Edge taskbar in the future.
Microsoft also announced that it is developing some security hurdles for the feature – a way to avoid the problems the company faced at the launch of its new AI-enabled Bing. The description says “We have included OpenAI protections and added additional protections to Image Creator”.
“For example, we have implemented controls aimed at limiting the creation of harmful or unsafe images. When our system detects that a potentially harmful image can be created with a command prompt, it blocks it and warns the user.”
The company says it will continue to work on optimizing the system in chats. “We continue to believe that the best way to bring these technologies to market is to test them carefully and openly so that anyone can provide feedback.”
Bing’s new features
In addition to Bing Image Creator, Microsoft is also expected to get two new search features: Visual Stories and call Information Cards 2.0. The former should work like Instagram stories and display AI-generated images. Flashcards 2.0 is similar to Google’s dashboards, but includes AI-generated infographics, charts, and timelines.
