Another major YouTube channel has been hacked: Linus Tech Tips, which has more than 15 million subscribers, was hacked and its content replaced with a livestream promoting a cryptocurrency scheme using fake images of Elon Musk.

The invasion was noticed by internet users on Thursday morning (23). After the strange behavior of the YouTube channel, the platform completely removed the channel, saying “the account was closed for violating the community rules”.

In addition to the main platform of the creator, two more channels of Linus Media Group are occupied: TechLinked and TechQuickie, which are aimed at news with education and technology, respectively, and have more than 5 million subscribers.

Also, the Linus Tech Tips website was hacked. The portal was offline this morning (23) showing an error message when accessed.

So far, youtuber Linus Sebastian and the Linus Media Group team have not made an official statement on the subject. While the main channel has improved, or at least reduced reach, smaller channels continue to show videos containing cryptocurrency scams.
