Soon, Google Messages needs a productive artificial intelligence (AI) feature to write quick replies.. According to 9to5GoogleThe novelty was found in the latest beta version of the application for Android phones.
When accessing the software, there is a new button to the left of the emoji icon in the compose Gboard box. Coincidentally, the button has the same glossy iconography used by the recently launched Bard chatbot and other Google AI resources.
According to this 9to5Google, when you tap the new icon, the command “(TODO!)” appears in the composition area. Although there is a hint that the feature is still under development, it is possible to get an idea of how it works.
For example, AI-generated messages will not be sent automatically. Users can read and edit the text before sending it to the recipient.
Google Messages’ new AI feature is supposed to be an evolution of Android’s Smart Reply. The current tool offers automatic and simple replies based on the content of the message received, both in the SMS application and other messaging programs.
Therefore, it can be assumed that in the future Google will use the Bard chatbot or other artificial intelligence to write more in-depth quick replies and even complete messages. Something that will definitely make life easier for many users.
AI in other Google apps
To increase efficiency, Google announces the addition of productive AI features to Google Workspace. Users can then rely on tools to make Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other apps easier to use.
According to Gigante das Buscas, testing of the new features will begin in March in the US. Therefore, the expectation is that the innovation will be available to everyone by the end of this year.
