The IBM chief added that they hope to “start a new era of accelerated discovery” by combining the capabilities of quantum computing, artificial intelligence and other next-generation technologies.

Among the goals of the new project are:

  • development quantum computing pipelines to screen and optimize drugs targeting specific proteins;

  • excellence models for predicting cardiovascular risks after non-cardiac surgery.

  • Application artificial intelligence to search for genome sequencing results, and large databases of drug targets to find drugs that can help patients with Alzheimer’s and other serious diseases.
