VK announced the consolidation of a 100% stake in the Sferum service for schoolchildren. The Group will become the sole owner of the company, which is currently a joint venture with Rostelecom.

The deal was reported in the VK press service. Its closure is scheduled before the end of April, the amount is not disclosed.

VK consolidates a 100% stake in Sferum, a service for schoolchildren (Digital Education LLC). The company is a joint venture between Rostelecom and VK. According to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities as of March 30, 50% of Sferum belongs to VK, the other half belongs to Rostelecom.

VK will develop Sferum in VK Messenger as a technological environment for communication between schoolchildren, teachers and parents. Rostelecom will focus on the implementation of infrastructure projects and the development of state digital services for the education sector.

Rostelecom and VK launched the Sferum platform in 2019. It allows you to conduct online lessons and supports electronic magazines and journals.

Previously, VK became the sole owner of the Uchi.ru platform, having bought a 75% stake for 8.7 billion rubles.
