AvtoVAZ warned about the shortage of components for the non-stop production of cars and moved corporate holidays for employees. The company does not reject plans to produce more than 400 thousand cars this year.
Russia’s largest automaker AvtoVAZ has been forced to postpone a planned three-week vacation for employees due to a lack of components for uninterrupted car production. Employees will go on corporate vacation from May 29, and not from July 24, as planned.
The company explained that component suppliers have halted deliveries, which will make uninterrupted car production impossible from the second half of May. In order to avoid a drop in wages, AvtoVAZ decided not to introduce idle mode into production.
AvtoVAZ postponed its corporate paid annual leave to 2022 due to problems with the supply of electronic components. The company introduced downtime for a while and transferred employees to a shorter work week.
