Google accused Microsoft of anti-competitive behavior in the cloud services market. Google filed a complaint with the EU antitrust authorities: the company insists that Microsoft is using its dominant position in the local market.
Google filed a complaint against Microsoft with EU antitrust authorities, Reuters writes, citing Google Vice President Amit Zaveri. Google accuses Microsoft of uncompetitive behavior in the cloud services market and the use of its dominant position.
In particular, Google trapped Microsoft by making it difficult for customers to choose cloud services, as well as creating contracts and agreements to make it difficult for these customers to work with other cloud service providers.
Zaveri pointed out that Google’s position is not related to the company’s interests in the cloud services market and asked antitrust authorities to carefully study the situation.
Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are the world’s leading cloud service providers. The publication points out that there is strong competition between them, which draws the attention of market control authorities.
