The experiment on distance selling alcohol will begin on November 1, 2023 and will run until July 31, 2026. It will be built in Moscow and the Moscow region, and the infrastructure of the Russian Post will be used as a platform for the experiment. Initially, the experiment was designed to encourage the sale of Russian wine by providing Russian winemakers the opportunity to sell their products online. However, the EEC later stated that the bill violated free trade principles within the EAEU.
