The version 8.8 update is not yet widely available. A faster Night Sight mode was announced as part of the Pixel Feature Release this month. The official Google account on Reddit reported that the Camera v8.8 update is made available to users continuously, i.e. over time. The update was released independently of the March software update.
The cameras on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are already among the best on the market, and this update is expected to further enhance the capabilities of the devices.
