Twitter has published two repositories on GitHub with parts of its source code. One of them contains the code for the recommendation system that Twitter uses to generate the recommendations feed.
The repositories with the source code of the social network are made available to the public on the GitHub web service. One of the repositories contains the source code that Twitter uses to create a feed of personal recommendations.
Twitter noted that the published data does not contain information about algorithm training and the code that triggers the social network’s recommendations when displaying ads.
The company will continue to publish data that does not threaten the security of users of the social network, he stressed on Twitter.
In January, the head of Twitter, Elon Musk, announced that the company would publish part of the source code of the social network as part of the principles of openness.
