Since April 1, Sberbank has increased commissions for stores for accepting payments using a QR code. The commission will be from 1.25% to 2.5% depending on the category of the store and its turnover. Therefore, Sberbank equated the size of the commission for QR payments to the fees for commercial acquisition, that is, payments by bank card.
Experts noted that banks finance the repayment at the expense of commissions: if there is not enough financing of this item, credit organizations take money to pay the repayment from other sources.
Sberbank introduced the option of paying in stores using QR codes in 2019. The fees for this type of payment were much lower than for traditional business acquisition.
