WABetaInfo reports that the latest beta version of WhatsApp (v2.23.7.17) includes a new text editor. Similar to the one used by Instagram*. For example, you can see this when editing text in stories.
Instead of multiple font styles, WhatsApp now has at least seven different options. Some are visually similar to fonts found on Instagram*. It appeared to change the background color to increase the visibility of the text. In the new beta version, WhatsApp also includes text alignment buttons.
