Earlier, the media wrote, citing a State Duma deputy, that deleting an account in the State Service can be considered evasion from military service, since electronic summons are tantamount to personal delivery. But Senator Andrei Klihas denied the existence of such a law and said that the delivery of subpoenas is still done in the traditional way. The same was said at the Ministry of Digital Development.

Meanwhile, another State Duma deputy, Alexander Khinshtein, emphasized that citizens have the right to delete their accounts in the State Service at any time, without fear of the consequences.

However, the Ministry of Digital Transformation explains that due to the increase in account hacking cases, the country’s government is limiting the deletion of accounts. This can now only be done via MFC.
