The airlines Air Arabia and Flydubai have resumed the acceptance of Russian Visa and Mastercard cards. Companies carry out transactions through the Fast Payment System (FPS). Emirates is also once again accepting payment with cards from Russian banks.
This is reported by Izvestia with reference to the comments of the press services and support services of the airlines.
Cards of the Visa and Mastercard payment systems issued in Russia stopped working abroad in March 2022 after the companies left the country. However, Air Arabia and Flydubai now offer to pay for tickets by link through SBP.
To do this, the client must book tickets on the site, contact the support service and receive a link by email.
Air Arabia makes payments through its representative in Russia and the transaction fee is 6% of the total amount. At Flydubai, transactions go through an authorized agent with a commission of 2,000 rubles.
Flydubai’s press service notes that failures may occur when paying with the Mir card. With Russian Visa and Mastercard cards, there are no problems when making transactions through the SBP.
Similarly, you can buy tickets at Emirates. As Izvestia was told in the call center, the buyer must request the details by email to the Moscow office of the company and book a ticket through the support service. Then, scan the QR code received in the bank application, indicating the total amount and the reservation number when paying.
When booking through the contact center, the airline charges a commission of 1.5 thousand rubles per person. Emirates clarifies that it may take several days to confirm the purchase.
