Russian home improvement service Rerooms launched a neural network for interior design

Rerooms representatives spoke about the launch of the neural network.

In a free service, you can create a bedroom interior design. The user must specify preferences for the interior: colors, style, wall decoration, flooring. Based on preferences, the neural network will generate four layout options.

Rerooms plans to add to the service the ability to create interior designs for other rooms and use real goods and items that can be purchased directly on the site.

“Our neural network will not lead to rejection of human artists. […] For us, the main goal of this innovation is to reduce the time the designer spends determining customer preferences,” said Dmitry Borisov, co-founder of Rerooms.

Rerooms also plans to add text and graphical interfaces to the service for human interaction with the neural network and the ability to comment on your work.

In November 2021, the developer Samolet bought 31.8% of Rerooms. It was reported that the transaction will strengthen the group’s competence to finish and furnish the houses that are being built.

In October 2020, Rerooms raised 18 million rubles from the Moscow Seed Fund.
