“Drift” is a phenomenon where the stick on the controller moves by itself, making it difficult to play. Previously, the repair service was only available in the US and some other countries.

Free repairs will be made even after the joycons warranty period has expired. However, if the “drift” is due to the use of unlicensed accessories, Nintendo reserves the right to refuse repairs.

The “drift” issue on Joycons has been the subject of many lawsuits against Nintendo. The company stated that since the console’s release, it has improved the quality of the sticks and continues to work on it.
