According to the source, Taiwanese company TSMC did not send wafers for M2 chips for testing in January and February. This is believed to be due to Apple’s request to halt production due to decreased demand for MacBooks.

The suspension reportedly lasted until February, after which production of M2 series chips was resumed, but “half the previous year”.
