This was reported by Izvestia with reference to Anton Nemkin, deputy coordinator of the Digital Russia party project. According to him, the initiative arose after complaints from citizens who were faced with the fact that some marketplaces continue to receive money for paid subscriptions even after users have deleted their payment data from their personal accounts. Such charge-offs allegedly complied with the policies of some companies.
Deputies want to oblige Internet services to send a notice with a link to the terms of use, where the procedure for canceling a paid subscription should be clearly and unequivocally indicated. In this case, the subscription will be valid until the next periodic payment regardless of the cancellation date.
