In 2022, the Federal Tax Service (FTS) added a record amount – almost 700 billion rubles. This is 81% more than in 2021. And the number of on-site inspections increased by 25%, writes RBC with reference to the department’s report.
The amount of additional charges in 2021 amounted to 378.6 billion rubles. In 2022, it grew to a record – as much as 685.7 billion rubles. Of these, a significant part, 675 billion, falls on various organizations.
In addition, last year the number of field tax audits of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and individuals amounted to 10,191 cases. Nominally, the indicator increased by 25%, and among organizations – by 29%, to 9,400. At the same time, the number of inspections remains negligible compared to the period up to 2018.
Likewise, when evaluating the indicators, it must be taken into account that in 2022 some controls that had started previously continued, but were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. They are also reflected in the statistics.
According to experts, the actual number of inspections has decreased, but the procedure itself has become more efficient. The Federal Tax Service has as its main goal to replenish the budget.
“In recent years, on-site inspections have gone from being routine control measures to extraordinary measures. Due to the change in the approach of the Federal Tax Service, the number of inspections has decreased considerably, while the number of additional charges and the complexity of inspections for companies have increased significantly,” explained Alexander Erasov, partner at IEF LEGAL.
