Blogger Andy Baio is present on macOS, a hidden PDF from review creator Satoshi Nakamoto titled “Bitcoin: A Decentralized Electronic Cash System.” In this article, Nakamoto first presented reviews in 2008.

According to Baio, this article is available in all versions of macOS, the Mojave environment that was released in 2018.

The PDF is hidden in such a way that normal use of Files for Mac cannot find it. But it can be opened via terminal, just paste the task:

open /System/Library/Image\ Capture/Devices/VirtualScanner.app/Contents/Resources/simpledoc.pdf

Comfortable Image capture this PDF document is used as a sample document for a device called Virtual Scanner II. What kind of device, no one knows.

Baio suggests that this document is just good for application testing. This is conditionally evidenced by the name of the file simpledoc.pdf and its size is 184 Kb.

One of the blogger’s sources said that someone inside Apple filed this problem almost a year ago. The same person who added the PDF was assigned to fix it, but since then he has not done anything and has not commented on the specifics of the situation. [Waxy]
