Tesla has positioned itself as a company that cares about the privacy of customer data from the very beginning of its participation.
However, Reuters was able to find out that this is not entirely true. Between 2019 and 2022, groups of Tesla employees shared, to a certain extent, personal videos and images calibrated by customers’ in-car cameras through the messaging system. This was confirmed by 9 former employees.
Separate videos included naked people, various accidents, speeding, and even the fact that the driver hit a child on a bicycle. The firmware of electric vehicles allows you to track the location of the records and try to determine the owner’s place of residence.
