The new device, with model number GTU8P, is only listed for three connectivity standards: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and UWB, suggesting it’s most likely a Google Pixel Tablet (no cellular service).
UWB was mainly used in the Pixel series so that the phone could be used as a digital car key. However, the inclusion of UWB on the Pixel Tablet indicates that Google is preparing for a “Tap and Transfer” system that will allow media to be transferred between devices, similar to Apple’s “handoff” feature.
