Basic Apple apps will no longer work on older iPhones. This applies to smartphones released before 2013 (iPhone 5S and earlier). App Store, Siri and Maps features will no longer be available.

Apple will stop supporting core apps on older iPhones

End of support for basic Apple features on older iPhones is available on Apple’s support site.

On models prior to 2013, that is, from the iPhone 5S and earlier, the App Store, Siri and Maps will stop working. Only the iCloud cloud service will remain available.

According to 9to5Mac, support for devices running iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11 will be discontinued.

No support date has been announced, but Apple advises that device owners will be notified soon to update to the appropriate version of the operating system, if possible.
