The researchers concluded that following a time-restricted diet with intermittent fasting may help reduce the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes. “People who fasted three days a week and only ate between 8:00 and 12:00 on those days showed greater glucose tolerance after six months than those who followed a daily low-calorie diet,” the researchers said.
It is stated that approximately 60% of type 2 diabetes cases can be delayed or prevented by changing diet and lifestyle.
