The James Webb Space Telescope has taken a stunning image of the planet Uranus, according to NASA. The photo shows the planet’s rings and bright details in its atmosphere.
This image was taken by the NIRCam near infrared camera. It combines data from two filters at 1.4 and 3.0 microns. In the resulting color image, the planet has a blue tint.
Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun. Its peculiarity is that it rotates sideways at an angle of about 90 degrees to the orbital plane.
