RIA Novosti analyzed data from the national statistical services of 193 UN member countries and compiled a rating of the states in terms of inflation in annual terms. Lebanon, Argentina and Zimbabwe have the worst performance. The best are in China.

Annual inflation in Russia was 10.99% – we ranked 50th out of 193 UN countries in February

With an annual inflation rate of 10.99%, Russia ranked 50th in this tacit rating, having welcomed Mauritius (11%) and Austria (10.9%) as its “neighbors”.

From the highest inflation they suffer:

  • Lebanon – 190%,
  • Argentina – 102.5%?
  • Zimbabwe – 92.3%?
  • Sudan – 63.3%?
  • Suriname -58%.

If we take specific regions, then the highest inflation is recorded:

  • in European countries – in Moldova (25.9%), Hungary (25.4%) and Ukraine (24.9%),
  • in the Middle East region – from Lebanon, Turkey (55.2%) and Egypt (31.9%),
  • in the Asian region – in Sri Lanka (53.6%), Laos (41.3%) and Pakistan (31.5%).

The lowest inflation recorded:

  • in European countries – in Switzerland and Liechtenstein (3.4% each),
  • in the Middle East region – from Oman (1.9%),
  • in the Asian region — China (1%).

There are no more deflationary countries on the planet this winter. In half of the countries, price growth rates at the end of February were above 8.7%.
