RIA Novosti analyzed data from the national statistical services of 193 UN member countries and compiled a rating of the states in terms of inflation in annual terms. Lebanon, Argentina and Zimbabwe have the worst performance. The best are in China.
With an annual inflation rate of 10.99%, Russia ranked 50th in this tacit rating, having welcomed Mauritius (11%) and Austria (10.9%) as its “neighbors”.
From the highest inflation they suffer:
- Lebanon – 190%,
- Argentina – 102.5%?
- Zimbabwe – 92.3%?
- Sudan – 63.3%?
- Suriname -58%.
If we take specific regions, then the highest inflation is recorded:
- in European countries – in Moldova (25.9%), Hungary (25.4%) and Ukraine (24.9%),
- in the Middle East region – from Lebanon, Turkey (55.2%) and Egypt (31.9%),
- in the Asian region – in Sri Lanka (53.6%), Laos (41.3%) and Pakistan (31.5%).
The lowest inflation recorded:
- in European countries – in Switzerland and Liechtenstein (3.4% each),
- in the Middle East region – from Oman (1.9%),
- in the Asian region — China (1%).
There are no more deflationary countries on the planet this winter. In half of the countries, price growth rates at the end of February were above 8.7%.
