Shuster was most concerned about the safety of his family, as people came to his house at any time of the day. Local sheriff Eric Fagan expressed concern about the situation and urged Apple to take action, saying that inaction puts the lives of innocent people at risk.

Despite attempts to contact Apple regarding the matter, it is unknown whether they plan to fix the issue or investigate further. The Find My iPhone app has caused problems in other parts of the country as well, and an incident in 2021 resulted in the shipment of armored vehicles to the region.
