According to Interfax, Nokia failed to obtain one of the licenses required to fulfill its obligations to its Russian counterparts. When the company decided to leave Russia, it tried to support its customers’ networks.
If Nokia does not obtain a license or fails to fulfill its obligations, it will have to pay monetary compensation to its customers according to the terms of the contract. The management of the Russian “daughter” of Nokia considers this risk high and has created a reserve in case of fines.
