Scientists actually believe that dinosaurs often grew fast and died young. According to dinosaur fossils, Tyrannosaurus rex reached adult size between the ages of 16-22 and died between the ages of 27-33.
Moreover, even the largest predators, Carcharodontosaurus, lived between 39 and 53 years. Apparently, the long-necked sauropods (the largest dinosaurs) reached the same age. Although some of these dinosaurs may live longer – perhaps up to 70 years.
