Apple no longer uses tungsten, tantalum and gold from Russia to manufacture the iPhone and other of its devices. Kommersant writes about this, referring to the company’s financial statements.

In 2022, Apple stopped purchasing tungsten, tantalum and gold from Russian enterprises at the request of the United States. However, in the report, Apple admits that it still receives tungsten from the Moliren plant in the Moscow region.

Apple may announce the supply from the Russian Federation, for example, at the expense of China, which, in turn, can use Russian concentrates for the production of metal.

Samsung did not abandon Russian metals. It purchases tungsten, tantalum and gold from Gidrometallurg, Moliren, Uralelectromed, the Moscow Plant for Processing Special Alloys and Krastsvetmet.

Mostly foreign technology companies use Russian metals for semiconductors and microcircuits. [Коммерсантъ]
