VKontakte has launched chatbots in VK Messenger, which are tailored to the needs of various business areas, the social network said in a statement.
With the help of chatbots, businesses in the insurance, retail, tourism, and other fields can authorize customers, send transaction notifications, and provide personal assistance. The set of scenarios can vary depending on the needs of the company.
The social network also improved the API for chat bots. The update made it possible for companies to integrate notifications with action buttons into their chatbots.
The user, by opening a notification from the bot, can place an order with a single click, request the status of the order, or perform any proposed action, without wasting time searching for the desired command.
The updated chatbot platform is available to users both in the mobile applications VKontakte and VK Messenger, and in the web version of the social network. Official company chatbots will be marked with a special interface banner.
