Artificial intelligence systems such as DALL-E 2, Midjourney and Stable Diffusion allow users to easily create drawings based on plain text descriptions.

The Chinese gaming job market has also been hit by regulatory pressure, the slowdown in the economy and the boom in artificial intelligence. In the last year, it has been noted that the number of illustrator vacancies in the country has decreased by 70%.

Geoffrey Ding, an assistant professor at George Washington University, who studies the development of artificial intelligence in China, said AI is well positioned to displace many workers, not just artists, but lawyers and writers as well.
